Button cell battery

Here we’re going to explain the differences between button cell batteries and show a Cross-Reference battery chart. Take a look at the models available and the differences between each coin battery.

Use these data to compare each battery model with corresponding product numbers from various manufacturers. These battery comparison charts give you all the necessary data making it easy to choose an appropriate battery. Coin batteries are much alike, but there are differences between each model. After reading this article, you’ll be able to find equivalent batteries in size, voltage, capacity, and chemistry. Furthermore, you’ll learn all the differences between similar makes.

Cell batteries are typically made up of three main components: the anode, the cathode, and the electrolyte. The anode and cathode are made of two different materials that are capable of storing electrical energy. The electrolyte is a liquid or gel that facilitates the flow of electric current between the two electrodes.

The cell battery chart explains how the three components of a cell battery interact to create an electric current. It shows that the anode is the negative electrode, while the cathode is the positive electrode. The electrolyte connects the two electrodes and allows current to flow between them. The chart also shows that the current is created when the charge of the anode is lower than the charge of the cathode.

Few words to end

As said before, many of these button-cell batteries are interchangeable. You need to look for a battery that is close to the original – in size and nominal capacity. Furthermore, in many cases, it all depends on how the battery case is designed. Sometimes you can’t install a battery other than the original size.

Before you decide to replace a button cell battery with a different size, we strongly recommend reading this button cell battery size chart.

For the CR1025 battery, equivalent take a look at this chart and find a battery with dimensions that fit the battery socket. This applies to other models as well. Equivalent battery models are those with dimensions that can be interchangeable. Each battery model in this chart has a 3V output, and the only difference, besides dimensions, is nominal capacity. Nominal capacity only can make that battery last longer or shorter than it should. If the nominal capacity is lower than the original battery, it shall last shorter, and vice-versa.
